Google acquires Fly Labs to bring superior video editing to Google Photos

Google has announced that the company has purchased Fly Labs, a startup based in New York City which makes video editing apps for iOS. The Mountain View company has also said that it is acquiring the startup with an aim to incorporate robust video editing tools into Google Photos. "It's a perfect match for what we built at Fly Labs, and we're looking forward to folding our technology into Google Photos," Fly Labs said in a statement posted on its website. The firm will continue to offer its four iOS apps - Clips, Fly, Tempo and Crop for the next three months and iOS users can get whatever used to be in-app purchases for free during that time period.
