Google sports a new logo

Google has revamped its logo. The 17-years old tech giant's branding has received its biggest makeover in the history. The Mountain View company has unveiled a brand new logo which sports a series of colorful alphabets written in a non-Serif font. It's a major switch from a Serif font to a Sans font. The search giant has even updated its icon to match with the new logo. Instead of the tiny 'g' in a blue background, the icon now shows a vibrant, colorful, capital 'G' reflecting the change in Google.

What's more? You can now spot a colorful mic icon displayed next to the Google search bar. Several Google products, such as, Google+, Maps, News and Translate have also received a new identity which matches with Google's new branding. Reports are coming about mobile apps which are being updated with new design and logo. It is certainly a big change. The old logo was developed when Google was accessed only from a desktop PC, but nowadays, Google has spread to all screen types, from watches to TV, from mobiles to automobiles and the change had to come definitely.
