It seems that Microsoft is very much eager about pushing the latest version of its flagship operating system to users around the world. The company will offer Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 users an option to upgrade to Windows 10 for free. This free upgrade offer will be valid for 1 year from the launch of Windows 10 which means that the user has to upgrade (for free) to the latest Windows within the one year window after which the operating system would become chargeable. The decision to make Windows 10 a free upgrade could really remove the backlash that Microsoft had suffered since the release of Windows 8.
