Google Promotes Chrome 40 To Stable Channel For Desktop And Android


Google Chrome 40 has finally graduated from the beta channel to the stable one. This release of Chrome 40 for desktop brings nothing to be excited of. However it fixes a large number of security bugs. On the other hand there has been some interesting changes in the Android version of Chrome. The updated app includes a new and impressive bookmarks manager. Another new feature is the large address bar on top with an overflow button but this feature is available only for Android 5.0 Lollipop users. And from now on Android tablet users will be able to easily close all tabs at once. A few other improvements such as offline mode and enhanced zoom functionality have also been shipped with this release.
